What Students Are Saying

the academics here at ecu are more challenging that people give credit. it is not a school that anyone can pass and they do a really good job at challenging the students.
Stephanie from Asheboro, NC
The professors at this school give out work that can be time consuming and that can take HOURS to complete and it is up to you as a student to make time for your assignments. Fortunately, a multitude of assignments are given out with the syllabus and students will know about them the entire semester. The work is not necessarily difficult, but it will take time out of your day.
Jana from Charlotte, NC
The classes are challenging and you get out what you put into your studies! The most important thing to remember is that you must go to class. You cannot learn from your dorm room. If you are struggling with any courses use the free on campus tutoring service. There is also a Pirate to Pirate mentoring program for freshman. There are many services on the campus that are there to help you be successful.
Kristyn from Holly Springs, NC
A lot of the classes require a lot of attention. I have homework almost every night, but you have plenty of time to complete it all. Make sure to challenge yourself when choosing classes.
