Tuition, Cost & Aid

Affordability and Cost

Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.

Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

Out-of-State Tuition Out-of-state tuition is the tuition charged by institutions to those students who do not meet the state's or institution's residency requirements. Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

What Students Are Saying

All colleges are going to be expensive. They all seem like you aren't getting a big bang for your buck at all. However, the University of Toledo isn't ridiculously expensive so it is better than all of the other schools that I looked at.
Sarah from Sagamore Hills, OH
The cost to go here is a reasonable amount. They have payment plans that allows you to pay money every month, apposed to paying it all up front
T'relle from Canton, OH
I would say the music programs. Sure any music program would be decent in college, but Toledo's music program is more interesting than anyone would think if you actually go to it. The Jazz program is very well directed and I would say is worth a good listen to.
Freeman from Bedford, OH
The University of Toledo offers great scholarships, and grants for those who qualify, so keep that GPA and those test scores up! Also, deadlines are major when it comes to applying for some of these scholarships. You actually get a scholarship for just being accepted if you have the qualifying GPA and SAT/ACT scores! By the way, UT has a pretty consistent record for keeping the tuition frozen. Yes, that means tuition has not increased this year or the last two years.
Seke from TOLEDO, OH
Great place for an average price.
Ethan from Caledonia, OH
University of Toledo is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Getting involved in campus is key to making the most of your collegiate experience. All of these people I have met will be my lifelong friends without a doubt. Along with receiving the best college education compared with similar sized universities.
Kevin from Ashland, OH
I got a great deal on card sales- 30 cents each. I bought quite a few for myself and my Mom. She is very supportive of this addiction.
Rebecca from Ann Arbor, MI
