What Students Are Saying

Come check out the campus and see if it is a place you can call home for awhile.
Jessica from Chillicothe, MO
Enjoy the dorm life, make those lasting friendships, and find your niche. There's always something to do, the trick is knowing what is a good idea to do.
Robert from Hollister, MO
Have fun, but be diligent in your studies. Be involved on campus. Join a fraternity or sorority; or at least some form of an organization. I did and do not regret it at all.
Caroline from Sweet Springs, MO
Get a good counselor, and don't be afraid to talk with your professors. If you have any scheduling issues be sure to talk to the department secretaries/professors who are teaching the class. Also, talk with the Financial Aid department, the lady I went to when I transferred there was great, and she went out of her way to help me get a scholarship.
Courtney from Belleville, IL
Get a great advisor! There are so many but, they can really help you with financial aid and scheduling classes. (mine even has a recliner in their office you can use if your having a bad day!)
Paige from Bolivar, MO
live on campus, get involved, and apply for tons of scholarships!
Kelly from Hazelwood, MO
get your applications in early. this includes your application to teh university and the scholarship application.
Ashley from Kansas City, MO
If you know what you want to major in, schedule a meeting with someone from that department. I had a meeting with someone from the Music Department and he was hilarious. He also ended up being my accompanist for my audition. Don't be scared to talk to the teachers. Also, take a tour. Missouri State was a second choice and after I toured it, I loved it more than my first choice.
Cassie from Wheatland, MO
