Tuition, Cost & Aid
Affordability and Cost
Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.
Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

What Students Are Saying
Best value college in the south. Also the number one public college in the south for the past 5 years.
george from Athens, GA
As a freshman you may not truly see it but in the long-term you will
Citadel Cadet
The Citadel does a good job of lining up jobs for students who graduate from here.
Miles from Mount Pleasant, SC
Upon graduation from The Citadel, you become part of a network of alumni that support each other and are able to help you with anything such as helping you start your career.
Frederick from Charleston, SC
The Citadel was recently ranked as the number 1 public college in the South and put education as their main priority. The professors, staff and Academic Support Center are interested in helping students and have been available to me anytime I've asked for assistance.
Citadel Knob
Freshman year can definitely hit a family hard—especially out-of-state tuition and uniform fees. However, in the long term it is all worth it because of the successful graduation rate in four years. I think the number is between 70-75%. With other schools, the majority of students end up attending another year or two which can tip the balance when it comes to costs.
Female Knob
The Citadel is not cheap, but as far as universities go, the experience is one of a kind, and if you ake it the full four years and get that ring, you will never walk alone.
Matt
While the Citadel is expensive, it rewards its students with many tools and opportunities to help them in life.
