What Students Are Saying
Charleston Southern is an awesome place to meet people and make great friendships. The school is just the right size to know a lot of people but still keep your close friendships tight. It's near enough to the beach to be tempting, but far enough away that you won't get bored with it by going too often. The city of Charleston is an awesome place; great culture, great food, even greater nightlife.
Martin from Saint Louis, MO
You really need to learn how to manage your money when you get to this school. It is so close to so many shopping centers and food places to go to that you can easily spend a ton of money in your first semester at school. Also you should try to find a good church, there are plenty within just a few miles of the school and it makes college so much better to have a great church to go to. Also if you don't think you will be eating all of your meals in the cafeteria, you can get it changed so you only get 15 meals a week and get fifty dollars for coffee and such in Java City, which is a great coffee place right in the library on campus.
TABITHA from Georgetown, SC

Ask about scholarships given out from the school, the school provides free tutors if any are needed, there is chapel every Wednesday and church is obviously held every Sunday at the chapel on campus, dorms are nice two to three person bedrooms with a connecting bathroom with one shower and toilet.
audrey from North Charleston, SC
The tip I have for students is to come and visit Charleston and to talk to students that attend to get different view points.
Ciera from Florence, SC
Be prepared to grow closer to God.
The work is challenging, but there are people all around who want to see you succeed.
Always do you best, and strive to follow God's plan.
