What Students Are Saying
As a technological school, Wentworth's academics are quite rigorous. It is common to have large amounts of homework and multiple projects, while still maintaining your normal weekly schedule. However, Wentworth¢??s faculty to student ratio is rather small, allowing students to have a better ability to get in touch with their professors outside of classes to discuss course material, time management, or ask for an extension. Wentworth also boasts interdisciplinary work between majors on several projects (for example, in Introduction to Engineering, a biomedical engineer, computer engineer, and civil engineer could be working on a project together). This fosters an understanding of interdisciplinary work (crucial to career success), as well as student-driven teamwork.

The architecture program is both challenging and fun. On the other hand the humanities classes are less difficult but equally interesting. Being a College of the Fenway also allows you to take classes at surrounding schools such as MassArt.

Wentworth, like most colleges and universities, is not like high school. The courses at Wentworth are very demanding, and if you are not on top of your work, you will get behind and become stressed. For many courses at Wentworth, if you miss 3 or more classes, the professor can/or will fail you. Unlike high school, you cannot miss class at Wentworth because you are sick or need a day off unless you want to lose a lot of money, including scholarships and financial aid (if you fail courses, it will show in your GPA. In most cases, if your GPA falls below a 2.5 at Wentworth, scholarships and federal aid will be revoked). At Wentworth, academics are taken very seriously, and the course loads for students are designed for those who take their future careers seriously and are passionate about what they are studying.

I have not yet been able to attend the school but will so been. With that being said, I have met some of the professors who are really outgoing and fun to be around. Although they are fun they are still serious professors who will help you with anything you need.
