What Students Are Saying
Make sure you practice good study habits in high school because you really need them in college. If you study I recommend going to the library or to a coffee shop and don't bring your computer because you will just get distracted by facebook.
Cassondra from Ham Lake, MN
Try something new, and explore your options. Also, use your student advisers. My adviser has helped me a bunchvwith choosing classes based on my major and getting to know the campus better.
Allison from Fridley, MN
Be ready for the cold!! :) But really, bring a heavy coat.
Kat
Look into all your options before you make a decisions.
Stephen from Bismarck, ND
Remember to bring a thick jacket because it gets cold here, other than that, be prepared to enjoy a wonderful community of students who are driven to prosper in life.
Andrew from Moorpark, CA
Be ready to have a great time going to college. There are many activities to do here and you will never be bored.
Dylan from Stirum, ND
This is an awesome school. I am currently a sophomore and i couldn't ask for a more fulfilling college experience. My advice is to be active and actually get involved in organizations. Go out and meet new people and you will have a much better experience
Luke from Shoreview, MN
Note: the weather is terrible. But don't let that scare you away. The school is great.
Stephanie from Ripon, WI
Take a lot of AP classes in HS to get out of many freshman classes. UND accepts a lot of/if not all AP credits. Visit campus. I fell in love with the campus and aviation program and it's why I'm headed to UND.
The general consensus may be that UND and Grand Forks as a whole just can't cut it, but the fact of the matter is that UND offers a world class education and all the delightful amenities of the big city/university while maintaining an atmosphere of a close-knit and safe community.
