What Students Are Saying

Get ready to study hard. The professors here are outstanding.

I would recommend to ask questions. Never be too shy to ask.
Becky from Webster, TX
If your classes fill up during online registration, see your advisor. They are all so nice and can manually register you for a class you need even if the online registration tool says class is full. Take courses that are tougher such as statistics or finance online and use the free tutoring for help when needed; this ensures you get the help you need, but can then take your exams as open-book with your notes. I found that helpful. Please note that UHCL only offers 3rd and 4th years for undergrads so do your first 2 years at a local community college and transfer--it saves you tons of money as opposed to a full 4-year institution. They offer full graduate degrees and teacher certification as well.

Decide what your degree will be early. Double check that your filled out all your paperwork and submitted your application for financial aid or scholarships before April.
Eduardo from Baytown, TX
