Am learning a lot | Spring Hill College has a lot of core requirements. They offer a well-rounded education, though most of their required classes fall into the liberal arts category. The instructors are all very eccentric, so classes are usually pretty interesting. |
Am enjoying being here | Being away from home is hard. Spring Hill requires you to live on campus (unless you live with your parents near the school). There is always an activity going on on campus, and there are several sororities and fraternities. There's always something to do. |
Bang for the buck | Spring Hill College is pretty expensive. The classes are good, and the campus is beautiful. The dorm rooms are a little shabby, but the food is okay. |
Tips for prospective students | Make sure you visit the campus before you decide to go to Spring Hill Collge. Understand that the tuition at Spring Hill is high, and you may have to get student loans. |
Great for these types of students | Pre-med majors, art majors, nursing majors, social people. |

Am learning a lot | The classes are tough at times and the core requirement helps the students to become more well rounded in their studies. In addition, the professors are nice and by it being a small school you are able to have a more personal relationship, therefore it is easier to ask them for help when need be. |
Am enjoying being here | I LOVE it here! There is always something going on and many ways to become involved not only on campus but through volunteering in the Mobile area too! |
Bang for the buck | Be sure to always ask financial aid your questions and not to just listen to the students around you. Financial aid was able to help me a lot. |
Tips for prospective students | Study hard and do not be afraid to go to your professor for help. |
Great for these types of students | Students that are serious about their education, but want a small school atmosphere. |

Am learning a lot | Spring Hill College gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself and to do things that you would have never thought was possible. |
Am enjoying being here | I LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!! |
Bang for the buck | As an incoming freshman I have learned not to listen to the people around you when it comes to money, always refer to the financial aid office. |
Tips for prospective students | Work 1st then Party, in that order only, the work here is challenging and it requires time. Take advantage of ALL of the provided resources! |

Am enjoying being here | I love attending Spring Hill College, there is always something going on. |
Bang for the buck | Spring Hill College is an expensive school, but the professors and faculty go out of their way to help students. |
Tips for prospective students | Students should always take notes, and study breaks during the week. |
Great for these types of students | Since Spring Hill is a liberal arts school, it is great for students than plan to major in any field of art. |

In three sentences | The college is amazing! There are many ways to get involved, and the faculty and staff are really supportive. The small campus makes it easy to make friends. |
Tips for prospective students | Get involved! It's the best way to meet new people. Also, take advantage of the campus resources like the rec center, peer tutoring, and the beautiful campus. |
Academic Rigor | Take the amount of classes that you can handle. The classes are manageable and most of my professors are reasonable, but too many classes can be stressful and overwhelming. |
Dorm Life | Pick the freshman residence hall that's best for you! I live in Viragh Hall because it's newer, I love the learning communities, and the bathrooms are more personal. Walsh Hall is conveniently located in the middle of the campus and Toolen Hall is located next to the soccer field. Each hall has its advantages. |
Food and Dining | McKinney's on The Hill is a great place to eat, and Java City is great for coffee and other snacks. The cafeteria food is really good. I personally love the omelet station. |
What to do for fun | Join a sport! I joined the Women's Rugby team and I love it. The girls are welcoming, and I enjoy playing. There are also many clubs to join and the campus programming board is always planning activities. |
Bang for the buck | The tuition is high but the college is really good with funding and granting scholarships. |
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus | Weeks of welcome is a great way for freshman students to get acclimated to the campus and make new friends! Definitely attend! |
Great for these types of students | If you enjoy a small, close campus this place is great for you! The people are friendly. The small class sizes make it easier to lean and communicate with your professor. |
Clubs and Activities | There are dozens of clubs for many different types of people. It's really easy to fit in and find people similar to yourself. |
Campus Safety | Public Safety at SHC is very responsive. The campus police patrol campus at all times, and the crime rate is very low. |

In three sentences | Spring Hill College is a wonderful place to learn in a smaller school environment. The school has small classes and dedicated professors. The students are fun to be around. |
Tips for prospective students | Be prepared for fun times but also be prepared to academically be challenged. Your best effort combined with help from professors should be enough but it is not easy. The campus life is nice and pleasurable for students. |
Academic Rigor | Spring Hill is a challenging school. Your best bet is to work your hardest and get work out of the way. Do not let parties and enjoyment take over your time. |
Dorm Life | The dorms are nice and they are like communities. It is fun having a community surrounding you all of the time. All of the dorms are nice sizes also. |
Food and Dining | The caf is good at times. It is the only consistent source of food that is on campus besides the coyster which is mostly late night dining but it is good and the best food on campus. |
What to do for fun | Intramurals are the most enjoyable thing. Other activities such as Greek sororities or fraternities are very interesting as well. Remaining active is something that is very necessary. |
