Randolph-Macon College is a 4-year liberal arts college located in Ashland, Virginia – just 15 minutes north of the capital city of Richmond. This central location offers all the benefits of a safe and walkable community, paired with easy access to high-impact internships, jobs, and networking opportunities.

Nearly 1,600 undergraduate students pursue academic pathways in over 55 areas of study. With small class sizes and a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio, hands-on learning is at the core of the Randolph-Macon experience. With support from our nationally-ranked Edge Career Center, over 4,000 Yellow Jackets have landed internships all over the globe. Some students conduct paid, summer research through the Schapiro Undergraduate Research Fellowship or their senior capstone project. During January Term, others will take their learning abroad through a faculty-led study-travel course.

Personalized mentorship is at the heart of the Randolph-Macon experience. Through intentional, one-on-one guidance, mentors across campus support students in building their unique path to a successful life and career post-grad.
