Oregons best kept secret. A great education with great faculty in a great place to live. Education made easy in a place that you love.
Tips for prospective students
Don't let the small student population cloud your judgement. Despite being a small school, it still has a college feel with a great student body.
Academic Rigor
Challenging courses taught by amazing professors. You will learn a lot while still having fun in school.
Dorm Life
Meet new and interesting people with on campus living; while having a view of the cascade mountains from campus.
Food and Dining
Good food in amazing facilities throughout campus. Can not wait to see what the new campus expansion has to offer.
What to do for fun
Central Oregon offers hundreds of things to do from skiing in the winter to rock climbing in the summers. No shortage of outdoor activities to take advantage of in Bend. Have never had so much fun in one city alone.
Bang for the buck
Cheaper then other universities in the state due to less expensive student fees. Despite the price break, still a great education as well as free services and facilities for student use.

I love getting an Oregon State University education in Bend! The small campus has a strong community, It feels like I am taking classes and living life in Bend. We aren't just stuck on a campus, our town is our campus!
Tips for prospective students
Think about where you want to be living and how you want to be spending your free time.
Academic Rigor
I have taken a variety of classes, and all of my professors have been extremely helpful!
Dorm Life
The dorms are nice and quiet, but the community in the residence hall is awesome. I lived with a sophomore and above community, and we always had fun.
Food and Dining
restaurant quality food, they're only cooking for a few hundred people if that, so the food is generally pretty good! My favorite are their grilled chicken fajitas or Scallop salad.
What to do for fun
Bend has so many recreation opportunities. Snowboarding at Bachelor 20 minutes from campus, tons of breweries, live music almost every night, hiking, Phil's trails mountain biking 10 minutes from campus, and more. There's never a time when there's nothing to do in Bend!
Bang for the buck
Getting an education in Bend is amazing.
Great for these types of students
This is not a traditional campus. We're small and growing, but it allows our students who want a non-traditional college experience to still fit right in. I didn't want greek life and football games, I wanted to spend my weekends camping and floating the river. This campus is great for students who want a smaller college and love to spend time outside with like minded friends.
Clubs and Activities
Cascade Adventures takes students out for free on hikes and trips! Headwaters, the back to school trip for first year students, had a 4 day canoe trip or a 3 day backpacking trip when I went. We even have a gear rental store where you can check out camping stuff, paddle boards, canoes, and snowshoes.
Campus Safety
Small campus, safe community and a friendly public safety team. The safest I've felt on an OSU campus.
