What Students Are Saying
The Cafeteria is open from 7am-7pm and you may enter at any time. The Cafe has a wide variety of food and always includes a pizza and sub line. The 586 Cafe is open for late night snacking and you receive credit for the 586 on your card each semester. In addition, Mount Vernon has many restaurants that are priced for college student's wallets!

In my opinon, MVNU provides students with a lot of variety when it comes to meals. The cafe is always open from 7am-7pm during the week, which is very convenient when you're on your way to class and in need of a snack. The only complaint I have is that they should have better hours for the weekends.

The cafeteria setting is very nice and the food choice is great. We have a pizza bar, salad bar, sub bar, and chipotle style bar (though not as good as chipotle) that are open from 7 to 7. For lunch and dinner, we have a grilled item, a saute bar, and main line foods. The food can become pretty routine after you've been their for awhile, but the amount of choices makes it a lot better. The desserts are always delicious which is a good and bad thing, for those not looking to gain the freshman 15.
