Affordability and Cost
Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.
Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

What Students Are Saying
MCAD is arts-accredited, which I hear is important; they also keep up with technology (for you film/graphic design/whatever major that works with computers out there). Some people feel that MCAD tries to instill a certain idea about art into its students; but in my opinion, the teachers all have different views they share with the students, which is interesting and important to developing your own ideas.

I've been here less than a week and I've already learned how to make a movie in photoshop and a still life, not to mention learning stuff in my general classes as well. It is really expensive, but you learn a lot, and there are extensive scholarships. It's totally worth it.
Aurora from Portland, OR
MCAD is a bit pricey but they're tons of merit based scholarships and financial aid when you apply, as well as while your attending.
I from MN
mcad is an expensive school, but what you learn, the experiences you have, and the connections you make are worth it.
Krystina from Dover, DE
MCAD tuition is certainly very expensive, but I can personally assure you that you are getting quality education from people who are passionate about their art (and who currently work in their chosen field). The facilities are high-quality, and the studios are spacious and make excellent workspaces.
Maddi from Mission, TX
MCAD is a private college, a private ART college so yes it is quite spend-y. But I do believe it is worth the price to go to a school like MCAD with it's staff and faculty who have worked in their respective fields who have hands on experience and can use that knowledge to teach their students, thus preparing them a little better. On top of the wonderful faculty the dorms for MCAD are all located on campus, there is a Bistro which has a wide range of delicious and nutritious food, there are several restaurants within walking distance of campus, the school provides weekly trips to nearby grocery stores for students living on campus. Also on several occasions the school provides free food during events held at MCAD.
Kaitlyn from Somerset, WI
MCAD is worth every penny!
J from Minneapolis, MN
the tuition is a little pricy at mcad, but the education that you are receiving along with the connections you make, make it worth the money spent.
Miah from Minneapolis, MN
MCAD is a private art school so it is spendy! But there are scholarships you can apply for and there is work study at this school too. Work study is very nice to have if you are eligible. I think the money is definitely worth going here-you learn so much, improve your skills and work, and you can meet some very inspiring artists!
