Tuition, Cost & Aid
Affordability and Cost
Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.
Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

What Students Are Saying
Houghton College is worth every dollar spent. The professors are concerned about my academic success. The class sizes are small and beneficial to learning. The food and dorm life are good.
Joel from Flanders, NY
Please understand: college is so expensive that the figures start to sound like monopoly money. But you are not going to find a better deal on a private, liberal arts school. The opportunities that you will find at Houghton are astonishing considering the size and location of the school. And check out some of the figures: Houghton students nearly all move on to grad school or find a job within a very short time after graduation.
Hannah from Grand Junction, CO
Even though Houghton is expensive. The price you pay for the education is worth it.
David from Houghton, NY
It is a hefty debt that I will be going into, but this is the last step before graduate school prior to entering the workforce. I have no fear that I will be able to repay that debt soon after I get out of college.
Aaron from Houghton, NY
college is expensive, but i feel like houghton does a pretty good job keeping the cost down. i feel like i am offered a lot of opportunities!
