Eastern Michigan University
Founded in 1849 as a teachers college, Eastern Michigan University is now a 4-year public school in Ypsilanti, MI. EMU is home to five colleges offering bachelor’s degrees in over 200 academic majors and minors. In addition to classroom space, EMU features several research facilities such as the Center for the Study of Equality and Human Rights. To maintain an open and supportive environment on campus, EMU features a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Resource Center providing advocacy and events throughout the year.
