What Students Are Saying
Manage your time wisely. It's easy being here and thinking you have so much free time to do whatever you want because you aren't in class as much as you were in high school, but that's not true. You will have papers to write and a lot of other things to do and friends will stop by or ask you to do something. There are many distractions so you have to learn when to say No. I have to finish my paper/homework.
Mariah from Rockville, VA
Eastern Mennonite is a friendly, personable, and ethnically-diverse campus. The university president and instructors prefer to be addressed by their first name.
Justin from Arlington, VA
Get out and get involved! People are outgoing, but you have to reciprocate and expect the best. With this mindset, you will be successful!
Shelby from Lancaster, PA
Come and visit! You won't know what it is like unless you come and see it for yourself. It may be small, but there is always something to do. Also, the surrounding town (Harrisonburg) is a good size with a lot of restaurants if you feel like getting off of campus.
