Am learning a lot | I have met so many different people from many different cultures. Because of its' low cost for basic courses, many people from other countries come here! It is so cool! |
Am enjoying being here | Everyday is an adventure. I never know who I may end up meeting! A wealthy guy from India or maybe a nice friend who lives 10 minutes from the college who I wouldn;t have met if it weren't for this college. |
Bang for the buck | Definately. This college is the best. Basic classes here are half the price than they would be somewhere else like UNLV. |
Tips for prospective students | Come with an open mind and be ready to work. It's still college, and you do have to work hard to get good grades. Ask for help if you need any! There are so many privileges and benefits that come with attending here! They have services for the disabilitated, working moms, and those who don't speak much English. |
Great for these types of students | Anyone who would like to save some money on college and invest it somewhere else. It doesn't even matter if you have plenty of scholarships. In that case, you'll be able to spend it on other things like books. That is, ofcourse, if you can't. It's also great for studetns who are intimidated by large colleges and will be attending college for the first time. |

Am learning a lot | Classes are small. Very interactive. Online classes are GREAT here. Not as hard as I thought they would be. To be honest, I'd rather do online classes than be at the campus because it gives you more free time and the distance learning is very easy |
Am enjoying being here | It's alright. The age range varies greatly here, so don't expect just young teens/adults. There are so many different types of people here, not just your usual party goers. Campus is clean and great looking. They offer so many great classes here. |
Bang for the buck | Since it's a community college, class prices are cheap. It's a very great way to get ahead start on your general classes before you transfer to a university, or great for those who just want their associates. It's a very affordable price, especially if you have the millennium or grants (then you won't have to pay a dime to go here!) |
Tips for prospective students | There are countless amounts of classes here. Research each class before you take it to make sure it's what you would like to take. They have just about anything! Watch out when you sign up for classes and make sure you assign them all at the same campus because you wouldn't want to run around different campuses for all your classes. Parking takes forever since there's so many people and smaller lots so try to get to class earlier! |
Great for these types of students | anyone! anyone who wants to just get their general ed credits out of the way or for those who want to start their career soon. Classes are easy, professors are pretty good as well. I wouldn't suggest you complete your major here though. It's great to get all your lower classes first. Unless if you are pursuing your associates degree then it's the perfect college for you |

Am enjoying being here | i enjoy being here because it would help me to become a better understanding of what a business can do for me and to help me prepare for a future business or job that I'm interested for that is related to business. |
Tips for prospective students | you should be able to work hard to get where you want to be. you have to have the passion to what you are majoring in and be able to have fun and be able to work well with others. only you have the ability to achieve what you want to in life and your future. |

Am learning a lot | The professor's differ among each other of course and have their own ways of teaching certain things but they are very good and well-educated. They are helpful and look to have each of their students succeed. |
Am enjoying being here | The campuses are small and very easy to get around. Everything is very easy to find and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There are campus officers always driving around through out the day/night to control the parking lot. The student population is very diverse. The teacher's are very good. The campuses are very easy to find. There are 3 locations in the Clark County area. They offer lots of programs to help students and great classes. |
Bang for the buck | The prices for the classes are reasonable like any community college. A lot cheaper than any university. CSN is affordable. |
Tips for prospective students | Apply early and research the classes you want to take. Make sure you know what class and teacher you want before you schedule your classes. CSN as well as any school gets busy when the deadline to applying is close so it's smart to register as soon as possible. The online registration is easy to use. I would also be aware of all the deadline dates for adding/dropping classes. |
Great for these types of students | Any student who is a full-time/part-time employee, parent, adult, re-turning student, transfer, in financial need, or any student who needs to take their basic classes. CSN is a great school to attend to if your anybody. |

In three sentences | CSN is a well-run school. It always has all resources easily available to students and tuition is not over priced. I wish they had more sports programs but other than that it's a very good college. |
Tips for prospective students | This is a good school to get your college career started. It's cheap but it's still holds value in the teachings. |
What to do for fun | There are a few extra curricular activities that you can get involved in like theatre, music, etc. CSN also has one of the top Junior College Baseball teams in the country. |
Bang for the buck | This school definitely gives you the bang for your buck. It's very affordable and gives a great opportunity to further your education. |
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus | This college is fairly traditional however its location isn't. Being located in Las Vegas, NV we have locations all around the city. |
Great for these types of students | This school is great for students on a budget but eventually plan to transfer out to a bigger school and finish their degree there. |

In three sentences | The College of Southern Nevada is a place for honest students who want to succeed. The teaching staff, along with the office staff, are there to assist you in any way needed. It has been a pleasant time attending this college and I would rate it a solid 9 out of 10. |
Tips for prospective students | Students who are looking to attend the College of Southern Nevada should be aware that even though it is not a University it should still be treated as the equivalent to one! Colleges are just as prestigious as Universities. It is just what you make out of them! |
Academic Rigor | Each class has a detailed outline that professors follow. They are there to help. teach, and explore their courses. |
Dorm Life | I do not live in dorms so I cannot comment on the rating of the dorm life. |
Food and Dining | On campus there is an awesome restaurant that students work. The culinary program at the college is incredible and full of ambitious students that make delicious food! |
What to do for fun | There are plenty of sport teams available at this college. If sports do not interest you then the theater and music should draw your attention. There are also plenty of events that go on around the campus as well with food and fun! |
Bang for the buck | The programs and assistance available range widely. From the Trio program to the counselors, advisors, and academic centers. These are all support centers that have everything you could possible need. Besides your teachers these centers can help you with the subject you are struggling with and they are there when ever you need them! |
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus | There is a carpool group that has formed that allows people hitch rides with their friends or other people who live near them. It is an awesome way to meet new people and it also decreases the carbon foot print people could produce. |
Great for these types of students | It is great for any type of student who wants a college education to enable them to further themselves. |
Clubs and Activities | There are posters all around school that promote all kinds of activities. Indoor soccer, basketball to a guitarist for a band. The diversity can be seen through out the hallways on bulletin boards. |
Campus Safety | There are campus security roaming around the school at all times. They are friendly but they get down to business when needed. |
