What Students Are Saying

the classes at this school are definitely academically challenging, but it's not killer. the most important thing is to make sure you go to class, and do all the assigned work no matter how good or bad you may think you are at it. in any college, it's about how much work you put in to it.
Mimi from Houston, TX
As a music major, I haven't had much academic rigor, but as far as art goes, I definitely have had my plate full. I'm only in two academic classes this semester, but I'm in ten arts classes. I love it!
Grace from Nashville, TN
The academic rigor at Belmont is challenging, but manageable. Even "easy A" introductory freshman classes can provide some big work loads. There is a lot of reading to be done for most classes at Belmont, so it is important for students to keep up with that in order to stay up-to-date in all of their classes. Students who work ahead are often more well-prepared than others when it comes to tests/papers.
Sarah from Strongsville, OH
So far the classes have been challenging but manageable.

Belmont University's academic rigor is above average. While any college course will make you work, Belmont will expand upon your knowledge. Everything you learn in class, you will take with you in life. Also, the relationships you get to develop with your professors (many of whom are famous for what they do and have done) are integral in your future career.
