ASU's Downtown campus feels more like a group of business buildings than a college town. I personally prefer this over the layout of most other universities. It is near several different types of public transportation (ASU's inter-campus shuttle, metro bus stops, and the light rail).
Tips for prospective students
Don't be shy. Get involved in clubs and go to those lame events at civic park. You'll find they're not so lame after all!
Academic Rigor
Online classes are the hardest. Register as soon as you can, and take as many in-person classes as your schedule will allow.
Dorm Life
I lived on my own, so I have no experience with dorm life. But from everything I've heard, it's not all that bad. There's no hazing, the showers are warm, and the wifi is actually decent.
Food and Dining
There is a great variety of food, not only in the cafe, but also around campus. From Asian food to Subway, to vegetarian restaurants, this campus has it all.
What to do for fun
Like I said before, join a club! Also, the UCENT building used to be a bank, so there are lots of secret passageways if you feel like exploring. On days where the weather is nice, Civic Park is where most people go to study, play games, or just hang out.
Bang for the buck
ASU is generous when it comes to scholarships, so for me, tuition was free! The facility is new, so everything is clean and modern.
