University of Minnesota-Rochester
With campus a few blocks from the Mayo Clinic, the University of Minnesota Rochester is a regional campus of the UM system in southeast Minnesota with a focus on health sciences. UM Rochester offers bachelor’s degree programs in Nursing, Health Sciences, and Health Professions and the Nursing degree is also available in the Twin Cities. All health science programs utilize UM Rochester’s Center for Learning Innovation which features personalized curriculum and hands-on technological learning experiences. In addition, every student in the Health Sciences program undergoes the university’s Intercultural Development Inventory to determine their ability to adapt their skills to serve people from other cultures.

The University of Minnesota-Rochester (UMR) is the perfect campus for a student that is positive that he/she wants to pursue a degree in health sciences, at a small campus. I believe that UMR is better than a typical college campus, because the students can go directly to their professors and ask questions at a few different locations on the small campus, the kind of interaction we have with the professors at UMR isn't like most colleges in the United States. Also, there's a sky-way that connects the school apartment to the rest of the campus, so if you live at 318 Commons, you don't have to walk in various, unsuitable weather conditions.
