The teachers will most definitely work with you whenever you are either falling behind or simply have questions and need extra help. Along with that, there is free tutoring among most subjects.
Am enjoying being here
There is usually something to do around here. There is rarely a dull day here, but of course, there are indeed some dull days.
Bang for the buck
DEFINITELY a great investment. There is a great price and I strongly recommend this college
Tips for prospective students
for every one hour you are in class, study that class for tow hours

The teacher go the extra mile to break down the material and explain it more depth if you don't understand. They want to expand your mind on their subject at hand.
Am enjoying being here
Even though the people, such as teachers and other students, smile alot this place really is a good place to be. And it's very easy to make friends here like my friends from the Bridge Program, Sade, Monica, Mike2, Akram, Jolie, and Shaniqua
Bang for the buck
It is worth your money.
Tips for prospective students
Work hard, ask questions, get a tutor, and get your work and to work (class) on time. Make sure you don't put all your study into one bulge into three hours, but study for an hour then take a half hour break. Make sure when you read don't read it straight through, but read it meta-cognitively. And don't high-light your text books. Use a fine-point felt tip pen when doing your studying.
Great for these types of students
This school is good for science and nursing majors. They give comprehensive work that will help you succeed.

Courses here are great and the professors are very helpful! They want you to pass and will help you in every way that they can.
Am enjoying being here
They have so many activities to do around campus! There's usually something fun to do everyday. It's nice to hang out with friends and do something free in between classes.
Bang for the buck
You have so many resources available to you for free! You can even text a librarian a question and they'll text back with your answer!
Tips for prospective students
Just work hard and focus on your studies and you'll be fine.
Great for these types of students
Enjoys smaller classes not huge lecture halls and likes interacting with others.

The courses that I have taken currently in my first semester freshmen year have been really helpful towards my studies as a nursing major. I have taken courses such as sociology, basic statistics, English and beginning acting. I was a little reluctant about my acting class because I had never taken a course such as this. My biggest fear was standing in front of others and performing and shyness. Eventually, I developed well in this course. I started to like it. Beginning acting taught me to speak loudly and I discovered acting skills I never knew I had. I became very close to other peers in my class. Stevenson University has helped me get out of my comfort zone; I am experiencing and learning new things every day. This university pushes the students to do their very best on whatever major you are studying in. The faculty at Stevenson University is also helpful and caring to the students.
Am enjoying being here
I enjoy living on campus at Stevenson University. The residential halls are amazing. Everything is clean and organized, I feel very secure at this university. We are given ID cards to receive access to meals, on campus buildings and off campus stores for discounts. Th e social environment at Stevenson University is good; everyone is so welcoming and friendly. It is very easy to make friends at Stevenson University because it is a small campus so it is easier to know everyone. The athletic sports at this university is interesting because in the year of 2011 the first football team was formed, the soccer team and lacrosse was also popular at this university. We had a great homecoming in 2011, coming into the university as a freshmen is one of the most memorable experiences I will never forget.
Bang for the buck
In all honesty, this university is a little expensive but they give out numerous scholarships, and if you are in good academic standing and has accomplished good things in high school such as sports, club organizations and community service you will most likely receive a scholarship. I love how this school gives you opportunities to earn scholarships just by showing what you have accomplished in high school and what you can bring forth to the university. All the money that you have to pay to attend the school is worth it because the school provides us good courses to take each year, good meals to eat and several activities held throughout the university each week.
Tips for prospective students
My advice to the future prospective students is to study very hard and please, please, please have an organized time schedule to where you know the times of your classes, when you eat and most importantly SLEEP!! try to attend all of your classes because a missed class can really affect you in your grades and completed assignments. When you start your courses your freshmen year, start off strong, put your best effort into your studies because if you don't it is so hard to catch up later on when the end of the semester arrives. If you are staying on campus in the resident halls, your Stevenson ID card and your Residential dorm key will become your best friend because losing it will not be a fun experience. You will use these items almost everyday.
Great for these types of students
If you are coming to stevenson to be a nursing major this is the best school to attend. This is their most popular major and 99% of students who graduates from stevenson university as a nursing major passes the licensing exam on the first attempt to become a registered nurse. In my opionion, that is excellent. So I encourage every student who is interested in nursing to apply to Stevenson University because they have the best nuring program that I know of.

The teachers here at SU are very straight forward and are very concerned about your grades and status in the class. If it looks like you're falling behind they take the time to ask you what can they do to help you.
Am enjoying being here
The enviornment is very positive. You rarely see a negative person and there is always something to do. It does have it's moments where you get bored but that's up to the individual.
Bang for the buck
The school is a great price, just have to make sure that you keep on top of your financial aid or it could be a little overwhelming.
Tips for prospective students
Make sure that you actually study and turn in your assignments. Every little bit of time you dedicate to your studies the better off you will be. But don't forget to make friends and have fun it'll make your time at Stevenson even better.
Great for these types of students
If you are looking for:

Stevenson is a up-and-coming University with a wide range of programs and degrees. It is filled with wonderful and helpful people that can get you on the academic career you want. There a lot of activities for students to participate in such as clubs, art showings, and workshops.
Tips for prospective students
Don't be afraid to ask the staff at Stevenson; the people are friendly and will try their best to help you with your problems. Get involved in the Stevenson campus.
Academic Rigor
Like most schools the difficultly of classes is mostly due to the teachers. There are a lot of teachers who have heavy work-loads and will make you work for the grade you get.
Dorm Life
Stevenson is in an area where students at the university can either commute to school or live on campus. First year dorms are what to be expected but sophomore and later students can apply to get small on campus 'apartments' that are extremely nice.
Food and Dining
There are two campus's at Stevenson- one in Owing Mills and one in Greenspring. The food at Greenspring is really well done with a small cafeteria like place and a sub shop where students can buy school food. At Owings Mills there is a large eating hall at the Rockland center; the food here has an extensive selection but isn't as good as the Greenspring food.
What to do for fun
Stevenson is located near Baltimore so there are a lot of things for students to do there such as the Science Center and the Aquarium. Artists come frequently on campus to talk about their careers and show their art. There is also school and club sponsored activities.
Bang for the buck
Stevenson is a private University but the people are great and helpful and you get a well-rounded education.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Greenspring's art gallery and theatre is great.
Great for these types of students
Stevenson is great for any major but especially Nursing, Business, and Art majors.
Clubs and Activities
There are Sororities, clubs for a wide range of interests such as horseback riding and graphic design and sports teams that range from lacrosse to football.
Greek Life
There are two sororities on campus but I don't think there are any fraternities.
Campus Safety
There is always a guard around and they too are friendly and helpful. I once locked my keys in my car in the pouring down rain and Campus Security got my keys out of my car and waited for me to get in before leaving.

The teachers are always willing to work with you one on one. The classes are small which is an advantage as the teacher is able to pay more attention to each of the student's needs. There is also free tutoring and Supplemental Instructors available for specific classes.
Am enjoying being here
There is always something to do here. There are always many activities and events to be a part of...there is barely a dry day here.
Bang for the buck
The money is very expensive but I can truly say that it's worth every penny.

stevenson harbors a great learning environment for students who want the benefits of rigorous schooling and personal attention from their professors. not only will students have the opportunity to grow in their fields, but they will begin to make connections with students in various majors. however, know that the school isn't exactly a "party school;" be ready to attend tons of school sanctioned events instead.
Tips for prospective students
- definitely tour the campus at least once.
- submit your fafsa by the deadline stevenson sets to be considered for the highest amount of financial aid.
- scholarships, scholarships, scholarships! school gets expensive when you look at the big picture, and stevenson is no angel.
- ap classes are not structured like college course. i took four aps in high school, and they're not at all like how college courses are structured.
Academic Rigor
expect to do work. stevenson prides itself on the high quality academics, and that's no joke.
Dorm Life
compared to most of the universities and colleges i visited before hand, stevenson has some of the nicest residence halls. note that it's "residence halls" and note "dorms." my freshman year, i stayed in a room with three other girls, but it had two separate bedrooms (2 girls in each room), a shared bathroom area (toilet and shower kept separate, so that people could use the restroom while another person used the shower), and it came with its own adjustable thermostat and a fridge and microwave. it was nice having space to spread out when in desperate need of relaxation (that wasn't a concrete floor. these floors are carpeted).
Food and Dining
as far as food goes, we have some really cool events, like elite dining, and the occasional cookout. we also have walter the cookie man who hands out fresh-baked cookies that are to die for. however, other than that, it's mostly generic university food.
What to do for fun
definitely join clubs, and, if clubs aren't your thing, keep an eye out for club-run events. there's always something to do on the weekends (and usually, you'll get free snacks out of it, which is a mega bonus). if that's not your speed, then you can take one of the stevenson shuttles to the metro station and romp around the inner harbor!
Clubs and Activities
we have a decent budget for student activities, so you can expect a good time and tons of cool events.
Greek Life
we have two sororities, and that's it. the current head of student affairs doesn't particularly like greek life (and, to be honest, with all the bad rep that greek life has been getting lately, no one blames her at all). the two sororities are really friendly and either option is a good choice, if one is looking to pledge.
Campus Safety
to be frank: there are 243 cameras around campus. security is here 24/7, and they also patrol throughout the day and drive their van around at night, just in case. i honestly don't think it's possible not to feel safe.

Stevenson University is a place that encourages the students to work one on one with advisers and teachers. They believe that each and everyone of us have full potential. The professors want each of us to succeed, and they will help you no matter what time of day it is. Some classes are hard, but with the help of the Academic Link and professor's office hours; you can succeed at any subject.
Am enjoying being here
This fall marked the first time Stevenson University has had a football team, but that doesn't make a difference. Win or lose, the Stevenson student body are out there cheering for each other. We are a close knit family at Stevenson because within a few weeks, you know more people than you could ever imagine. This is because there are so many activities on campus like Patio Jams, sports, clubs, etc.
Bang for the buck
Stevenson is a very affordable university. The only thing is, you need to make sure that you check your account regularly because there can be mistakes on your bill, that may hinder you from signing up for class for the next semester.
Tips for prospective students
If you like smaller classes, but still want that full on college experience, Stevenson is the place for you. Stevenson is a place where you can feel at home, and you can still have fun with friends and family. Family is welcomed on campus, and not just on Family Weekends. Families come and support our sporting events, and even when we have special events at school.
Great for these types of students
Students who like:

~ smaller classes
~participate in sports, and not always sit on the bench
~have fun in a urban and rural settings
~who want to be remembered by name and not a number

The Nursing program is phenomenal with a 98% passing rate. Important features of this option are the strong theoretical and clinical experiences.
Will enjoy being here
Resident life at SU strives to create a residential community that goes beyond the traditional dormitory setting. The staff works not only to ensure that University housing is safe, clean, and well-maintained, but also help students become active members of the Stevenson community.

Bang for the buck
Stevenson University is one of the most affordable independent universities in the country. If you go online to Stevenson University Tuituion & Fees they offer a complete page of estimated tuition and fees including housing and meal plans.
