Founded in 1891 by the Free Methodist Church of North America, Seattle Pacific University is a 4-year Christian university in Seattle. With a campus nestled in the north slope of Queen Anne Hill, SPU awards undergrad degrees in 69 academic majors. In addition, SPU provides an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Seattle region on its two island campuses on Whidbey and Blakely Island. As a Christian institution, SPU holds weekly chapel services in the First Free Methodist Church and students also have the option of joining the chapel band.
