Roanoke College
Founded in 1842, Roanoke College is a 4-year liberal arts institution, the second-oldest Lutheran-affiliated college in America. Roanoke offers over 100 areas of study on its Salem, Virginia, campus, all of which are complemented by a core curriculum where students can choose from a portfolio of classes based on what they’re interested in. The college also offers hands-on experience opportunities, including research programs where students work one-on-one with faculty, study abroad, service learning, and May Term intensive Learning, which often includes on-campus courses, traveling, and more. All students must complete one May Term to graduate. Roanoke maintains an Honors program, Fellows program, and scholarships for art, music, and theatre.
