What Students Are Saying
Show up for class every session, so you don't miss out on any important information. They only allow so many absences, before they start deducting from your grade. Save your absences for absolute emergencies.

If you want to pursue graduate studies at the Oceanographic Center (I'm a Master's student in Marine Biology), I suggest emailing professors you are interested in working with. They are really nice and almost all of them will respond back to you. Everyone I have met so far has been really patient and willing to talk to students about research projects and such. There are also lots of opportunities for undergraduate students to gain research experience in marine science for use in job prospects or to help jump start an interest in graduate studies.
Alexandra from Davie, FL
When entering Nova be prepared to work hard, meet new people and have a great time. My tip is to balance your studies as well as joining any clubs or having a job.
Hanadi from Pembroke Pines, FL
Don't fret if you don't get an acceptance letter right away. Nova sent them out later than other schools I applied for.
Melinda
NSU is not a party university and professors are extremely strict, so you have to work hard. The campus food is horrible, so you may want to have a car. The student body at NSU is really diverse.
Bryce from Fort Lauderdale, FL
It is a good idea to apply as soon as you are able and, in addition, you will most likely need scholarships, grants, and student loans as Nova Southeastern University is a private school. Although it is not one of the most expensive schools in the country, tuition, room and board can be a challenge to any pocketbook.
Eugene from Coral Springs, FL
If you want to go to a school where you get to speak to your professor every class and enjoy having that one on one relationship NOVA is the school for you. If you feel that the price is a bit much, find scholarships and make it work.
Omar from Miramar, FL
Nova Southeastern University is the perfect choice to go for college, because of the small class sizes and the quality teaching that is offered.
