What Students Are Saying

Whenever you come and visit LR, listen to your tour guides very well. They are all very knowledgeable of the school, their job is to tell you about campus, and make you feel very comfortable at LR. If you do decide to come to LR, then make sure that you set up relationships with your professors. The professors are not your enemy at LR, and they are going to want to help you out as much as they possibly can. There is a few people that you have to meet around campus, and if you are coming for a tour anytime soon, ask your tour guide about Pastor Weisner and Dean Fisher. They are two wonderful individuals that are there to help you no matter what you are going through, and they will always remember your name. The Freshmen dorms are not the greatest places on campus but can be very comfortable if you are willing to put a little work into making them comfortable. Overall though the thing you should know best is the relationships you make at LR are going to be lifelong.

Get to know the campus!!!!!
David from Roebuck, SC
Don't let the religion based school scare you away! Yes we're a Lutheran officiated school but you can believe how ever you chose to! If you come from a small high school look at LR because of the student teacher ratio!
Kathleen from Maiden, NC
Take a campus tour with one of our Bears of Distinction to really get a feel for campus. You might even run into Pastor Weisner who will instantly become your friend and tell you all about LR's rich history.
Morgan
If you are coming from a big town get ready for the small town life.
