Academics

Academics are tough at Colorado Mesa but not incredibly difficult, although it varies depending on which major the student it going for. However, I believe that going to school at CMU can be as academically rigorous as each individual makes it. The University offers plenty of help for students in need, such at the TLC, which is a free on-campus tutoring center.

For the most part, I am learning things that I didn't previously know. The only exceptions to this case are the College Algebra class which seems to be taught at the level of 8th grade-12th grade mathematics and the geology courses which have gone over information that I had previously learned in my geology classes in middle and high school.

You really get what you're paying for and then some. The courses you take, especially ones that are not general education credits, can be challenging, but not impossible. They do make you think a little bit. Of course, there are some classes that are far easier than others because of the professors. Some of them are more of a delight to be in than others. You just take it as you will.

Classes are not that hard you just have to show up and study. They offer a great tutoring center if you ever need help and they are open everyday so you don't have to worry about struggling to find a tutor because they have enough to help everyone.

Like I have already stated the classes are difficult. And your teachers do expect a lot from you, so don't be constantly late unless it is unavoidable. But try your best to make it to class on time or a little early. And try not to turn in assignments late, the teachers hate that.
