The fifth-largest city in the Midwest, Milwaukee in the state of Wisconsin is home to more than half a million people. The Gamma global city is known for its festivals, beer, watersports, and variety of ethnic food. Milwaukee is also home to the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Milwaukee offers several options for public transport being serviced by intercity rail and bus systems, as well as high speed auto and passenger water ferries, and two airports. The majority of residents rely on their automobiles, but the city, overall, has a high walkability rating, especially in more densely-populated areas.
