Chartered in 1887 by the School Sisters of St. Francis, Alverno College is a Catholic women’s college in Milwaukee. Alverno confers bachelor’s degrees in 35 academic majors and 27 minors. In addition, Alverno eliminates letter grades and provides feedback in the form of a narrative evaluation. Throughout the school year, Alverno’s campus ministry schedules a number of weekly events such as Midweek Meditation as well as the monthly St. Ben’s Meal Program.
