Am learning a lot | Teachers and professors want you to think. The majority are open to taking a few extra days here and there to discuss the issues that students are interested in. After all, it's our education, not theirs. |
Am enjoying being here | Bridgewater has a pleasant atmosphere. It is just as easy to find someone to talk to as it is to go off an be by yourself either inside or outside. |
Bang for the buck | I'm not going to lie, Bridgewater is expensive. However, the amount of scholarship money they are able to give away was the deciding factor for me to come here. |
Tips for prospective students | Bridgewater College is an ideal school. The campus is lovely, expecailly during the fall or spring/summer when colors are changing or things are starting to bloom. The professors are interested in your education and a small number of students in each class makes it easy to get involved and ask questions. The students are friendly and it is easy to get involved on activities on campus. |
Great for these types of students | Students who would otherwise fade into the background. At Bridgewater you will be noticed. It is also great for people who want to be away from the hussle and bussle of city life. |

In three sentences | Bridgewater is the most beautiful campus I have ever been to. The people are so friendly and nice, everyone waves at everyone. This school is small and perfect for one on one learning. |
Tips for prospective students | Go to office hours for your professors if you need help, they are always willing to lend a hand. Get out and meet new people, everyone is so friendly and will love to get to know you. Join a club or team so you can have an outlet from school work. |
Academic Rigor | Professors will make you try your hardest, and they want you to try your hardest. Professors know your potential and will help you reach your full potential. |
Dorm Life | Dorm life is fun and relaxing. The schools random selection process is amazing! I have gotten two amazing friends out the random selection process for roommates. Residence life really cares about you. |
Food and Dining | The food is okay, and you will have an unlimited food plan. The main dining hall is open really early and stays open extremely late. |
What to do for fun | I love the location of Bridgewater College. You are only 10 minuets from harrisonburg, 25 minuets from Massanutten Ski Resort, and there are tons of miles to hike and bike. |
Bang for the buck | While Bridgewater is an expensive school, you will have many opportunities for scholarships to help you pay for school. The campus is flawless and people are amazing. |
Clubs and Activities | There are so many clubs and organizations at Bridgewater. You are guaranteed to find a club that matches your interest. |
Campus Safety | Bridgewater is one of the safest towns in Virginia. The small country surroundings make you feel safe and comfy. |

In three sentences | Bridgewater is a great community to get involved in! Just be you and don't be afraid to stick out, there are many people just like you! Over all it's a wonderful family to become apart of! |
Tips for prospective students | Make sure your applications are in on time!!! That will give you the best chance of getting the most scholarships!!! Also talk with students from there who are studying in your field, this will help to give you a sense of what professors you'll need as well as internships available for you! |
Academic Rigor | The professors are always able to help even when they aren't at the college. They are their to aide you and provide assistants when you think it's needed. |
Dorm Life | The dorm life is amazing! My freshman year I stayed in Geisert Hall (all girls) and i have to admit it turned out way better than I thought! The resident advisors' there are extremely friendly and have struggled through their first year as well, so don't be afraid to ask for help! |
Food and Dining | The food is great you just have to look at the menu first to decide where you'll want to eat. The KCC (main dining hall) is actually changing a lot of the food options around to help assist us with making better food choices. |
What to do for fun | Anything! Bridgewater has tons of intramural sports as well as clubs/activities! The best part about it is that you don't even have to be involved in the club to be invited because they send invites to the whole campus! We have corn hole, volleyball, soccer, football all the good stuff year round! Even better for us girls is the shopping mall right down the road in Harrisonburg! |
Bang for the buck | Since it's a Liberal Arts College you'll get exactly what you want from it! There is a huge difference between a regular University and a Liberal Arts College. The education gained from Bridgewater will help you pursue and achieve a life beyond your expectations! There is no doubt that you could get any more from Bridgewater than you are given! |
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus | All of the traditions on campus have a meaning to them from earlier graduates or Presidents (of the college). However, they all are important to the students because it's what defines us as Bridgewater students. |
Great for these types of students | The Pre-Med Society is great for all Chemistry, Biology or Biochemistry students! It helps provide insight on your near future and it allows you to ask previous graduates of Bridgewater what they're doing now! |
Clubs and Activities | There is no way Bridgewater doesn't have a club you want! Even if they did you actually have the chance to make a new one!!! |
Greek Life | Unfortunately there isn't any Greek Life on campus, but you can always join the club for it! |
Campus Safety | The only safety consern you need to worry about might be getting chased by a cow! The safety on campus is amazing and the best system I've seen by far! The chief of police is there for you 110% no matter the time or day! |

In three sentences | as a small town guy, bridgewater seems like a pristine campus. people leave their bikes unlocked, the crime level is next to zero. it's beautiful and friendly and lovely. |
Tips for prospective students | if you want a small college, apply. if you don't, don't. spend a night, eat a meal or three in the dining hall, hang out with some students. even if you don't end up going, it's alot of fun. |
Academic Rigor | despite a reputation as a school for those who aren't accepted anywhere else, it's a very stimulating environment. the classes are challenging and intriguing, so don't mark it off because it's a small school. |
Dorm Life | some dorms are old, some dorms are new. some dorms are small, some dorms are huge. it's luck of the draw, whatever you get, should be just fine, for any student. |
Food and Dining | the food is so good. seriously, bridgewater's dining hall is number 5 on the list of best places i've eaten. the selection is marvelous, although the bananas are always a bit green. |

Am learning a lot | This school challenges you intellectually but also makes you learn a lot about yourself because of the liberal arts program. Having to do community service projects teaches you a lot more than you can imagine. I have studied in both the athletic training program as well as the biology major, both are subjects that I have learned a lot in. Biology is a very difficult major, but great professors make it more understandable. |
Am enjoying being here | I love this school. I'm from a city so I thought a small country school would be terrible, but I was completely wrong. The school takes some warming up to, sometimes even an entire semester, but definitely worth it. I love this school a lot more than expected. |
Bang for the buck | Seems like I am paying a lot of tuition and nit completely sure what it all goes toward. There are a lot of fines that are punishments for disciplinary actions. |
Tips for prospective students | Take more than one visit. Don't judge a book by it's cover and take some time to make an over night visit. It makes it much easier if you play a sport, most people on the campus are athletes. |
Great for these types of students | Athletes!!!!!!! |
