Founded in 1860, Augustana is a selective university located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and affiliated with the Lutheran Church. Offering more than 100 majors, minors, and pre-professional programs for undergraduates, plus graduate degrees and continuing education programs, Augustana’s curriculum combines a foundation in the liberal arts with professional skill and advanced study. Outside of academia, students can get involved in more than 100 clubs and organizations, play in over 50 intramural activities, and cheer on the 19 Vikings athletic teams. For Augies interested in getting off campus, Sioux Falls is the most populous city in the state and features more than 70 parks and greenways, as well as boasts an active art scene orchestrated by the Sioux Empire Arts Council.
