If you know you want to study people but aren't quite sure about a psychology degree, consider majoring in social sciences. A social sciences major will teach you more about people's minds, how they behave, and how their health plays a role in their actions. Getting a major in social sciences will give you much greater knowledge that can guide your interactions with people long after graduation. You'll study psychology, behavioral science, sociology, and anthropology. Besides those classes, you'll also have the chance to learn more about business, elder care, health services, law enforcement, and government community services. A variety of career opportunities exist for graduates with a social sciences degree. Some graduates go on to become community organizers or activists, elected officials, sociologists, researchers, or urban planners. You even have the option to further your education and become a teacher.
