The College of Alameda is a 2-year community college in the San Francisco Bay Area. Alameda offers degrees and certificates in 48 academic programs as well as career technical education courses. To provide hands-on demonstrations of classroom lessons, the college’s Aviation Maintenance Program holds classes in a satellite facility adjacent to Oakland International Airport. In order to promote a more accommodating community for its LGBTQ+ population, Alameda’s campus features a number of safe spaces and gender neutral restrooms as well as a Gay-Straight Alliance organization.
