Academics

Classes are very hard at The University of Scranton. However, you really feel as if you are getting an excellent education which is a good thing when you pay loads to go here. Just make sure not to fill up your semester schedule with too many difficult classes at once. Also, make sure you check ratemyprofessor.com to see how other students previously rated a professor.

Some professors are great others not so much, same as everywhere else

The classes offered here are both interesting and challenging in all the right ways. The way they break down academic services by major really makes lining out your future very simple, and offer meetings with academic supervisors for every semester you register. There are also some very interesting free electives and opportunities to take classes outside of your major or comfort zone. Almost all the professors I have come in contact with are really great and supportive

The Jesuits have a great program for anyone!

Courses are designed to challenge you, sometimes on an academic level, sometimes on a personal level. But, they will prepare you for "the real world" of your chosen career and as a person. But, don't let that deter you! The education you will receive is invaluable, and professors are glad to work with you, as long as you put in the hard work.

teachers are usually in their offices willing to help you in any way possible. the librarians are very good at their job and can help you write papers or find tools you can use for research.

The academics here are difficult, but designed to benefit you in the long run. However, I feel that I can do well in class and still have a social life.
