The University of Maryland-Baltimore County is a 4-year public institution based in Baltimore and part of the University of Maryland system. UMBC is home to seven colleges and schools hosting over 55 undergraduate degree-granting programs. In addition to classroom space, the UMBC campus hosts Bwtech@UMBC, the first university research park in Maryland, as well as the NASA-funded Joint Center for Earth Systems Technology. For sports fans, UMBC fields 17 men’s and women’s athletic teams known as the Retrievers.

Every student at UMBC is very dedicated, it is clear that everyone wants to be here for the right reasons.The professors are phenomenal, during lecture some of them can be a little intimidating but if you go to office hours then theyre not as bad as they seem! The size of the campus is perfect, its big enough in the sense that you can meet new people everyday but small enough that you can give yourself 15 min to get to each class
