In three sentences | UB is fun, sporadic, entertaining, and most importantly educational. UB is a great place to learn and grow through the various programs that are offered. There are specialization designed to meet specific needs of those looking to work in particular places. |
Tips for prospective students | Know what you need prior to applying. If you need transcripts make sure they are official. Have all your required information accounted for and in order. This will make your visit much more enjoyable. If there is a test that you need to take read the description of that test on line before going to take it. There is often a free prep course offered to students who need testing. |
Academic Rigor | Academically the school is challenging and fast pace. When taking a full load of classes UB will keep you on your toes. On the other hand the work load is also reasonable, and can allow for extracurricular activities as well. |
Dorm Life | Wish I could tell you more about this. I have friends that love it here, but I commute personally. There are benefits to commuting here as well though. One benefit to commuting is the various types of transportation that is offered. If you drive you can park in several different garages. If you do not drive the metro drops off right next to school at Penn station. |
Food and Dining | Whether you're looking for something affordable like subway, or maybe something a little more up scale like the Terps sports bar, UB has it. As an even greater bonus, most of these restaurants are within a short and reasonable walking distance from school. |

If you like the party life you are right up the street from Power Plant live. If you into art you there are several great attraction just down the street, closer to the inter harbor. If you like the outdoors your just several minutes away from camping, biking, rock climbing and more. The list goes on and on ... |
Bang for the buck | The school is not only decent but it also offers merit scholarships and transfer scholarships to prospective students. |
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus | One of the greatest spots to grab a cup of coffee is the Barnes&Noble@UB. It's a great spot to study, catch up with friends, or even work on a research paper. |
Great for these types of students | Nearly anyone who has an interest in the programs that are offered. |
Clubs and Activities | The athletic and club opportunities here are great. There's plenty of opportunities to participate in clubs that range from jujitsu to soccer. |
Greek Life | Wish I could say... I know several who love it down here, but again I am not one. Let's give it a 4/5. |
Campus Safety | UB police are here and there. In addition to security the school also offers transportation to and from garages, that is for those who do not wish to walk or are simply not comfortable doing so. |

In three sentences | UB is centrally located in Baltimore, MD. No longer a graduate school taking on the adjustment of incoming freshman had gave UB a great opportunity to provide education to everyone of all walks of life. |
Tips for prospective students | Review all of your options when applying for college. Take into consideration the entire cost and what you plan to study. Understand that there maybe a school cheaper that provides what you want to study. |
Academic Rigor | I wouldn't call the academics at UB rigor, I would say that its passionate. The staff and faculty here value education and betterment for the students. The good thing about it is that professors are teaching in their professions, so as a student you have first hand knowledge. |

Greek Life | There is no greek life at UB but student government and staff understand the importance it is to their students. There has been many forums and discussions about hosting chapters on campus. We just hope that the best choices are made for the students and the university. |

Am learning a lot | I find UB to be a school where learning is interesting and enlightening. Not just because of the teaching but because of the diversity of the students. The different back grounds and cultures bring learning to a different dimension by helping you see things differently and understanding things differently especially in Business courses such as ethical and global issues. |

In three sentences | The University of Baltimore (UB) is very diverse, intellectual and rewarding. On a scale of one through ten, UB is a outstanding ten. UB is a wonderful bridge in transforming students into better citizens of the United States. |
Tips for prospective students | If you are suggesting UB as your college choice, make the move! The University of Baltimore is a small intimate university that helps students adjust to college life. UB offers free tutoring, rigorous courses and great social events. |
Academic Rigor | The work at UB is very challenging if you are not used to heavy work loads. Personally, UB's not ivy-league challenging but the work requires attentive students willing to come to class prepared. |
Dorm Life | Dorm life at the University of Baltimore is different. UB is a city-life school - in the heart of Downtown Baltimore. The school partners with apartment complexes in the area for affordable living arrangements to accompany student's needs. |
Food and Dining | The best part of UB's social aspect is also a pro and a con. There are tons of food diners surrounding the university. The con is that these food diners take your money. It's hard to save surrounded by such delicious eateries. I recommend you stay away from eating out every day unless you have the money. It will leave a large hole in your pocket. |
What to do for fun | Let's See! If you're looking for extreme fun, it's best to find some friends who have off-campus housing or reside in a campus apartment partnered with the school. I recommend you attend the social events at UB. Some of them are entirely free and some have small fees ($2-$5). |
Bang for the buck | The University of Baltimore is fairly cheap for the tuition and fees. The tuition includes things that most universities don't offer. Take advantage of the writing center which helps edit your paper or take advantage of the free tutors who are more than willing to meet with you. UB also has a great library for students to engage in books, eBooks or DVDs. I would only suggest a meal plan in the fees. |
Clubs and Activities | The best part, in my opinion, is the different clubs and organizations on campus. Every one is so inviting and friendly. These clubs vary from religious groups, major-based groups or other things that people have in common. If there's not a group on campus that you're interested in, you can also create one. |
Campus Safety | The University of Baltimore has the BEST safety team I've ever seen. Patrol cars are usually parked on certain corners of the campus. If you sign up for campus text alerts, you receive free notifications every time a crime is committed in the surrounding neighborhoods and on campus. There are campus patrol officers who regularly check the buildings every hour or two. If ever you are afraid to walk alone to your apartment, the police officer is willing to walk with you for free. UB is one of the most safest campuses in the U.S. |
