What Students Are Saying
Academically the school is challenging and fast pace. When taking a full load of classes UB will keep you on your toes. On the other hand the work load is also reasonable, and can allow for extracurricular activities as well.
Jonathan from Woodstock, MD
you have to limit your working time and you education study time. you need to balance everything. at first i thought i didn't have to take the time to study. soon as my accounting tests came. i was in trouble and my 78 wasn't looking to good. my classes are definitely tough but i know i'll be prepared for the professional world when i'm finished! as with life. we need to put the hard work, dedication and sweat into everything we do! rome was not built in a day and nor was our education.
George from Baltimore, MD
I wouldn't call the academics at UB rigor, I would say that its passionate. The staff and faculty here value education and betterment for the students. The good thing about it is that professors are teaching in their professions, so as a student you have first hand knowledge.
Ashley from Owings Mills, MD
challenging but not overwhelming
Megan from Baltimore, MD
The work at UB is very challenging if you are not used to heavy work loads. Personally, UB's not ivy-league challenging but the work requires attentive students willing to come to class prepared.
