I understand the financial aid benefits are second to non. In addition to one of the bests, if not the best engineering school in the nation. And for someone like me, with little hope in terms of finances, I can't look beyond Cooper Union

Cooper Union used to be tuition free which is pretty great for middle class families who aren't eligible for financial aid. However the school is no longer free at the moment. That being said every student receives a half tuition scholarship. So the tuition starts at 20,000 excluding financial aid which a lot of students receive. The school will be returning to a tuition free model as soon as possible. It's a great education for a relatively good price.
