What Students Are Saying

Some of the intro classes can be rather monotonous and easy, but the professors try their hardest to make them interesting. All my professors have a large number of office hours (some as many as 6-8 hours per week) and are extremely accessible if you fall behind in class. The school accepts credit for AP and dual-credit/dual-enrolled courses so it is likely that you will not be stuck in a class below your academic level.
Dylan from Indiana
SMU encourages its students to strive for perfection in all that they do. It has high expectations for its students so academics is at the top of the priority list. Classes are not impossible however. The professors do an excellent job covering the material and accommodating special needs of students. The professors are also excellent at making the students aware of their expectations, allowing the students to succeed through hard work.
Katherine from Renton, WA
Classes are challenging, but not impossible to manage.
