What Students Are Saying

We have a full service cafeteria that is open everyday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff there is friendly and the food is very good. We have options for vegetarians and non-meat eaters. We also have the SAGE student union that offers food and snacks after cafe hours. In 2013 we will be having a new union and cafeteria built for students.

Most days you can find something you like at the UC, some days you can't. I think the salad bar is always good, but on the weekends it is sparse unless there is an event going on.
Alexis from Vestaburg, MI
The food here is the typical food you would find most places. They recently moved the cafeteria to a new location and the quality is the same if not slightly worse. Sometimes they add too much butter or oil to the food though. But some days certain foods can be great. It's kind of hit or miss.
The food is good sometimes depending on what they cook for the day.
Daniell from Dearbron Heights, MI
You cannot be a picky eater. There are so many food choices. The new student center just opened up and now includes a Mongolian BBQ, pizza bar, salad/soup bar, and two places to get the main course and try out different foods!
Destiny from Livonia, MI
There is our dining hall, Benicassa- Benni's for short. In Benni's there's a variety of food each day and that is where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then there is the Sage Union where you can get snacks and chose from a variety of food such as, salads, tacos. pizza, subs etc.
Promise from Southfield, MI
For the most part the food is good, but sometimes you want to have snacks in your dorm room in case you miss a meal. If you do not like the main meal being served there is always salad, bagels, cereal, soup, pizza, and french fries being offered as well. The drink selection is nice as well because there is a pepsi and coke machine, along with milk, water, and juice.
Megan from Trenton, MI
there are many choices of where or what to eat on campus. it is also only a short drive to a lot of restaurants.
