Tuition, Cost & Aid

Affordability and Cost

Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.

Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

What Students Are Saying

I think this school is very affordable. There are many scholarship opportunities for all students. Also tuition is approximately $9,150 per semester and you can take anywhere from 12-19 credits. That breaks down to $481-$763 per credit. Also the cafeteria is buffet style and the Courtyard Cafe is affordable as well.

Always ask for help, Scholarships and free money are offered. Many workshops to also help every student.

Overall its a good school, but it really isn't worth it unless your in the Forensics or Nursing programs, the rest is just par.
Austen from Honolulu, HI
Chaminade is pretty pricey. The campus is pretty nice but the dorms aren't anything amazing. The rooms are very small. The campus is just very small and it seems a little limited..

This is a private institution but worth every penny. There are many things to get involved in and the faculty and staff are friendly. Since we have small class sizes, students really get to know their professors and the professors actually learn all our names.
