Actuarial Science

An actuarial science major may sound obscure, but this interesting field can lead to a riveting career after graduation, as well as an interesting course of study in the short term. Majoring in actuarial science will allow you to study the statistical and mathematical analysis of risks and their applications across business management problems and insurance. In other words, you'll be learning about risk measurement, forecasting, development of risk tables, computer-assisted research models, and much more. After graduation, career opportunities are plentiful. You'll be able to pursue a career as an insurance analyst, economist, statistician, public account, mathematician, or personal insurance advisor.
