What Students Are Saying

If you are dorming and not living in an apartment, Villanova requires you to get a meal plan, which you have to purchase. The meal plan has a contract of your meal plan and when you can get meals during the semester. Commuters have the choice of purchasing a commuters meal plan, a meal plan of their choice or none and just bring lunch from home. A meal plan includes breakfast lunch and dinner depending on the plan. If you have a meal plan, there are time restriction for when you can use a meal and price restrictions. With a meal plan you can purchase frozen yogurt, ice cream, lattes, anything which the Food Services Offers. They have Freshens, a frozen yogurt and Ice cream place, Holy Grounds, a coffee cafe, and other food places. Villanova also have a brown bag lunch, where if you can't stop to eat but need a brown bag lunch to get to class, you can contact them. They recently have opened a halal food request, where if you are Muslim, you can ask for a halal meal and they will provide you with one. You also have points added to your meal plan, which is like emergency money added to your meal plan in case you run out money to eat. Students tend to waste them on the first few months and regret it later.

There numerous Villanovan dining facilities located throughout campus. There are three buffet style locations and numerous a la carte and coffee shop the food is always good and there is something for everyone.

there are three dining halls on campus which have a variety of options, including the longest salad bar on the east coast. other smaller options are available all over campus for late-night snacks, ice cream and smoothies, food off the grill, and italian food. nothing you can try here is bad, and half of it is made fresh right in front of you!

I did not get sick or tired of the food at all, during my first year at Villanova. There are dining halls, coffee shops, an Italian place, and a few more places to eat. This year 2012 there will be a new Italian place to eat that will even have gelado! There is the normal pizza and pasta, but also a sandwich and cheesesteaks part as well in all the dining halls. The options are always there, which leaves me to eat whatever I am in the mood for.
