What Students Are Saying

I've been a workstudy in the Administration building for two years, so I have lots of advice for prospective students. First of all, if you want to speak to Financial Aid or the Registration office, it's best to go there in person since the phone-lines get pretty busy. But if you're from out of state, then I would recommend calling before the busiest moments of the year, which is usually during the first few weeks of each quarter. My second piece of advice is: Ratemyprofessor.com is your friend. Third, check Amazon.com for cheaper textbooks before you decide to buy in the bookstore. Fourth, bring lunch to school, you'll save lots of money in the end. Fifth, get to know your professors during the first few weeks of the quarter. Lastly, the majority of the information you need will be on the school website: Shoreline.edu

If you are coming straight from high school, please keep in mind, there is no lunch time or bells for that matter, so learn how to manage your time. Secondly, I know you have all heard this before, but don't procrastinate, especially when it comes to buying your books.
