Santa Clara University
Founded in 1851 by the Society of Jesus, Santa Clara University is a Jesuit Catholic university in Silicon Valley and the oldest institution of higher education in California. SCU offers undergraduate degrees in more than 50 academic majors and minors. Santa Clara’s signature campus building is Mission Santa Clara de Asis, a Spanish mission dating back to 1777. As a Jesuit institution, SCU celebrates daily and Sunday mass at the Mission Church.

SCU has a beautiful campus with beautiful people. Go here if you're looking for a casual school with good academics and a decent social scene. Don't go here if you're looking for top tier academics or cannot deal with a diverse group of students.
