Am learning a lot
Pitzer College as well as the entire Claremont Colleges offers many opportunities and resources including the Claremont Consortium, the Keck Joint Science Center, Student Health Services and others. Students also have the opportunity to create their own major if they feel Pitzer doesn't offer what their looking for. The professors are great and willing to help students.
Am enjoying being here
The campus is the smallest out of the Claremont Colleges, but it's beautiful. Right next to the San Bernadino mountains, the freshman dorms are only 2 years old and eco-friendly. Pitzer has native plants around campus and the entire campus is eco-friendly. Most people are friendly, the staff is awesome and living on campus is terrific.
Bang for the buck
Even though Pitzer is pretty expensive, the opportunities and experiences students receive is priceless.
Tips for prospective students
Have an open mind and enjoy the college experience to the fullest. Don't over exert yourself.
Great for these types of students
Hard-working, goal-oriented, eco-friendly, students looking to get the feel of a large school in a smaller setting

Am learning a lot
Arriving at Pitzer I was frightened and excited to attend classes. For the first couple of weeks I was astonished and overwhelmed by all the work required for each class. At the end of the semester, through all the intensive hours of emerging myself in each topic, I feel like I learned so much. I feel confident in each topic I studied and am capable of sharing, and teaching them to others.
Am enjoying being here
I enjoy my stay at Pitzer everyday a little more. The only downside is that it is far from Illinois where I grew up, but that is easily overlooked by all the easy going people on campus.
Bang for the buck
Attending Pitzer is expensive, but it is worth every penny because their are so many resources available. You have instant access to Teachers and faculty members. Classes are challenging and have a 12:1 student ratio that allows you to connect with teachers not just be another student in the college.
Tips for prospective students
The one tip I would like to emphasize is that college is no joke, and even though it is very fun hard work is awaiting you. Lastly, is that you should visit colleges before attending them because when I visited Pitzer I changed my mind on where I wanted to spend four years of my life at.
Great for these types of students
This college is great for people that are interested in non profit organization, the environment, but also their is a broad range of people because of all five colleges that allow you to pursue any career.

It's a small school that doesn't feel small because of the 5 other colleges surrounding it. They're all extremely close to each other. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from Pomona to Pitzer (and they're at opposite corners.)
Tips for prospective students
Be yourself! Don't try to fake anything on your application and write (this is cheesy) from the heart.
Academic Rigor
I attended a class as a shadow and I thought the topics were extremely interesting and all the students seemed genuinely interested and cared about the information.
Dorm Life
The dorms are great! I stayed in the newer complex and it's 2 kids per room with a bathroom shared by two rooms. The rooms were small, but nice.
Food and Dining
The food is absolutely delicious.

Pitzer has an amazing curriculum where it is open to let students shape their own education. We believe in social responsibility, and we have tons of opportunities to be socially active. Pitzer's food is amazing, and anyone would love it.
Tips for prospective students
Be prepared for academic rigor, but realize professors are here for you. You're never alone in Pitzer. Small school setting, but you have the resources of a large school.
Academic Rigor
It is intense, but the rigor depends on what field you choose to go into. It will be hard, but you will have help in so many ways. Don't be afraid to get help.
Dorm Life
The settings are great. You have your friends nearby. It's coed, but you live in a same sex suit, unless you prefer not to after your first year. The R.A.s try their best in creating the best setting for you, but they are there if you have any problems.
Food and Dining
Food is amazing. The workers are friendly, and they love to have a conversation with you. They will become your friends. If you have any allergies, they will accommodate for you or if you'd like a particular ingredient, they will bring it to you.
What to do for fun
You can do anything for fun. Movies, theaters, plays, etc. Anything you can imagine, it's possible to do.
