What Students Are Saying
Need money? Join the Honors program, you'll get 1500 a year if you're in good standing with the program. Come check it out, it's a great campus!
Matthew from Springtown, TX
Make sure you pay attention to scholarship deadlines. If you live off campus, make sure you come to class early because you will not find a parking spot close to your building otherwise!
Rachel from Holliday, TX
Be optimistic. Yes, we are a small campus, but we have plenty of FREE events throughout the semester for our students.
Mikayla
Be sure to sign up in time for scholarships through Midwestern to receive free money!!
Shayla
Get involved in all on campus activities. Not only will you have an amazing time but you also will receive free food and shirts :)
Lucia from Wichita Falls, TX
Make sure when scheduling classes you pay attention to which buildings they are in because even though the campus is not huge, you still can end up sprinting if you are on opposite ends with only ten minutes in between. You should also try to learn about the Professors you plan to take, before you pick them, so that you know you can learn to the best of your ability. Your learning style does not match the professors teaching style it may not end well.
Stephanie from Keller, TX
To always communicate whether it is with any of the offices or with your professors. They are here to help but only if you ask. Also to take advantage of the success programs such as tutors, writing centers, and the library.
Ashley from Dallas, TX
Definitely go to the free tutoring sessions! Take advantage of any and all workshops, TA's, SI's, and group studies. Also, check out the help labs in the various colleges; the English writing lab provides free coffee!
Bethaney from Stamford, TX
My tip to any student wanting to come here is get on your professors good side. Do ALL the work assigned because they hold a high expectation. Have fun but make sure you are passing all your classes.
Shelby from Center Point, TX
