What Students Are Saying

Just because it is a community college, does not mean that the classes are easier. Students are expected to perform at a level equal to other higher education institutions.
Amanda from Sterling Heights, MI
Talk to a counselor about your academic status at least once each school year to help keep up with your progress. They will give you the information you need to know about your major.
Jasmine from Detroit, MI
Honestly, it could be better. This is dependent on many factors; the student mindset, which professors are chosen, and the people in the class(many times, professors plan the semester at a pace that they think will be beneficial to majority of the students). Overall, the rigor can range from so so/average to very good.
Candice from Detroit, MI
The more time you put in the better the outcome. For every one credit you have to study two hours @ home. If you are taking a three credit class that is six hours a week that you are reviewing completing homework and studying.
Bushra from Dearborn, MI
As a freshman, getting into the college lifestyle was challenging. Over time, Henry Ford Community College adjusted me to understand the system and how college works. So, I am more prepared to conquer a four year university by going to this college.
Robert from Grosse Ile, MI
For ever class you take; credit hours you must times it by two hours in order to successfully plan your study time, wotk time, fun activity time with friends an family.
Devante from Detroit, MI
They have a wide variety of different programs and courses which makes it idea for a working student who is unsure of which program they would like to earn a degree in.
Kayla from Allen Park, MI
