Class sizes are small with a lot of one-to-one, student to professor and there are plenty of help opportunities if you need it, so do not be afraid to ask for help. Professors usually know you by name and give you warnings in advance if there is an issue with your grade or if you are missing an assignment. College is not high school, you may have felt you did not need to study for exams, studying is very important to keep on top of your work and grades, minimizing your stress.

There are quite a few fields that you could major in, and a lot of them are difficult. While they are difficult, Hartwick is a great school and a great name to have when looking for a job. Hartwick can prepare you for life after college.

Since classes are smaller that the usual (think high school class size or less), having personal time with a professor for help is easier and more helpful. Classes are hard, but not to the point of a mental break down. One just has to know how to balance their social and academic lives well.

Since I am a biology major, my first year classes are very challenging, but its to test who will actually remain in that field after the first semester. The amount of work at Hartwick is a lot, but most professors give you enough time in advance. The same is for exams. Professors don't usually throw you in the deep sea without warning.
