Academics

Classes can be hard if you seek out the hard classes. If classes are hard, they are always rewarding in some form by being really interesting. Otherwise the workload isn't bad (the staff at Emerson wants you to pursue your passions in AND out of the classroom).

Classes are longer than one would expect and registering is competitive compared to State schools.

I haven't experienced any classes, but from what I understand, the work isn't difficult, but it is very hands-on. Expect lots of unorthodox assignments!

I am in my second semester as a graduate student. First semester was relatively easy, but the academic rigor has gone up dramatically and I get the sense that most programs are like this.
