What Students Are Saying

Delaware State is a nice school. Expect to come here and learn alot and also get alot of one on one time with professors when needed. The school also offers tutoring sessions if you need extra help. There are alot of campus organizations and activities, which many of the students enjoy. The campus is right across the street from a mall, which has every possible store you may need to shop at from school supplies to groceries.
Karis from Suitland, MD
if you are planning to attend delaware state university it is suggested to become familiar with the school and campus itself. think about what you're interested in and what you plan to major in, to predict how you can make your own mark on the world. it is also very important to stay on top on financial aid, and your personal understanding of paying for college.
Some tips that I would give for prospective students would be to visit the campus to be sure the location is something that will best fit your needs as a student. I would also recommend visiting to speak with professors and current students to see what the class sizes are like, and what currents student like about their school. This could in many ways be a the make or break of a prospective students final decision when deciding on a college.
Shanice from Wilmington, DE
For prospective students I would recommend coming here Just know who you are and what you come here to do and you will be fine.
Danielle from Brentwood, NY
You must realize that college is NOT high school. Time management is the key to success. The freedom you will have is going to make you feel great but understand that with freedom comes responsibility.
OLIVIA from Oxon Hill, MD
make sure fasfa is turned in early, to receive all financial opportunities. know what career path you plan to take, once you graduate college. register early to receive the class needed for your major.
Shepherd from New Castle, DE
If you will be attenting DSU come in with a positive attitude and open minded. Do not come into the school with what someone else told you because that will effect your outlook and potentially affect your four years there in a negative way (make it your own experience). Last but not least have fun enjoy your time there stay on top of your academics and learn to balance both.
Quintera from Newark, DE
When coming to DSU, come in prepared to learn. It is important to stay focused or your grades will drop. Just remember to work hard and play later!
